What is Commission Junction (CJ) ?

Generally advertisers or merchants do not track the affiliate marketing related activities themselves and outsource the work to a third party termed as Affiliate Programs Provider (APP) or Affiliate Service Provider (ASP). They work as the gateway between affiliates and advertisers. They keep track of the commissions, collect payments from advertisers and pay it to affiliates or publishers, i.e. us.

In short, we as an affiliate join these APP/ASP and can contact advertisers through their network. These APP/ASP provide us text links, banners and other promotional stuff of various advertisers for creating campaigns. We can promote the products and services through various channels, a few of them are listed below:

Applying for Advertisers

Once you have joined CJ, you need to apply for advertisers so that you can promote their products and get paid. Applying for advertisers is easy, just log into your CJ account and search for "Show all advertisers: in my country or servicing my country". This is required as most of the advertisers do not allow foreigners to promote their products or services but still you can apply for them. If they reject your application then send them a mail requesting them to allow and do not forget to mention the ways you are planning to promote.
